EAGLE LAKE - Roland Fournier, 88, past away peacefully at an Eagle Lake Health Care facility on April 1, 2016. He was born in Eagle Lake, June 10, 1927, the son of Eloi and Emelia (Saucier) Fournier.
Roland retired from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad after 33 years. He was a life member of the Fort Kent Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, council #0352.
He enjoyed painting, gardening, playing cards- especially winning, most of all he enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Lila (Michaud) of Eagle Lake; his two daughters, Janice and husband, Michael Hayes of Horse Shoe, NC, Della and husband, Paul Leger of Andover, Ct.; four sons; Nolan and wife, Theresa Fournier of Winterville, Clayton and wife, Louise Fournier of Eagle Lake, Lomen and wife, Patty Fournier of Winterville, Kevin and wife, Marleny Fournier of Port Richey, Fl.; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; his sister, Gladys Michaud of St. Petersburg, Fl., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Roland was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial with Full Fourth Degree Honors will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery.
