Roger's Story

BRADFORD - Roger L. Trott, 78, died October 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1937 in Gardiner a son of Mark and Constance (Perkins) Trott.

Roger loved the outdoors, the beauty that natured offered, and all animals. He enjoyed feeding the birds and taking care of his four kitties. He proudly served four years in the United States Marines, and was a steelworker and welder by trade, having been employed the local steelworkers union and worked all over New England. He will be remembered for his V-Twin belt buckles that he made. He had a large network of friends from all over including a special pen-pal Lydia from Australia. He enjoyed fishing and his gardens. He helped care for his mother until her death in November 2011. This past summer, his grandson Daniel, spent everyday with him and they developed a deep bond as Dan helped him remain in his home until his death.

He is survived by Hollie Collins and her husband Keith of Hudson; a grandson Dan Trott and his wife Renee of Hudson; two great grandchildren Destiny Lee and Callie Margaret Trott; a brother John Trott and his wife Sharon of CA; sister Jean Laskey and her husband Arvid of Rockwood; many special nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends who were very good to him.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
