South Portland and Hampden
- Roberta Marsh, 98, died March 5, 2017, at Gorham House in Gorham. She was born November 26, 1918, in Greenville Maine, daughter of I. A. Harris and Nora Belle Micue Harris. She was directly descended from 1600's settlers from France and England.
She graduated from Greenville High School in 1936, and Eastern Academy of Hairdressing in Bangor in 1937, and married William E. Marsh October 12, 1938, in Greenville.
She is survived by Wilma Marsh of Florida and South Portland, Maine and Roberta Marsh Rosolino and son-in-law, Joseph of Cape Elizabeth. Her grandchildren are Joseph W. Rosolino and Karen Infantino of New York and Nicholas Rosolino of New Gloucester. She was called GG by her great-grandchildren, Danielle Rosolino, Andie Rose Infantino, and Luka Rosolino. Her many nieces and nephews knew her as "Aunt Bert."
She was predeceased by husband, parents and siblings, Wilbur Harold Harris, Doris Harris, Nora Gustana Harris Boynton, Augustus Goldsmith Harris, Woodrow Wilson Harris, Mary Harris Wortman, and Rachel Harris Latta.
She worked at the Hampden school hot lunch program, Lounsbury's grocery store, Ohmart-Hinkley Pharmacy and Hampden Highlands Post Office.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roberta's memory to the Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church, 44 Kennebec Road, Hampden 04444.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements under the guidance of Hobbs Funeral Home.
