- Roberta A. Harriman 'Boo Nan' passed away June 26, 2017.
She is survived by one daughter, Kristi Grant of Bucksport and her husband, James; two very special grandchildren, Corey and Mckenzie; sisters, Gayle Hamm and husband, Leroy, of Bucksport and Lynn Meierdirk of Orrington; brothers, David Dorr and wife, Joanne, and Barry Harriman and wife, Alicia, of Orrington; stepsisters, Nancy Grant, Betty York and Brenda Edmunds; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, George Miles; mother, Kathleen Harriman and stepfather, Ernest Harriman; and sister, Brenda Locke.
Bert, as most people knew her, was a 1967 graduate of Brewer High. She worked several different jobs throughout the course of her life, including CVS, several shoe and slipper factories, and she was a door and bar tender at the Brewer Eagles Club. During her time at the Eagles Club, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and spent some of that time as the Auxiliary president. Bert was a 37-year member of the club and during that time she was involved in many of the club outings and activities. In her younger years, she spent a lot of her time at the families camp on Toddy Pond, where she enjoyed going out in the boat and fishing, among other things. In her later years, she came to enjoy crocheting and made many different and beautiful projects. During her life, she was always very involved with her family and would do anything for anyone. She loved seeing her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sitting around telling stories and singing her silly songs to all the kids.
A special thank you to Beacon Hospice for all they have done. A big thank you to Mandy and Mikka, Bert loved you both like family.
A service/celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Brewer Eagles Club.
