He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict as a member of the Military Police in Germany. You perhaps will remember Bob as your Little League or Pony Team coach, as a dad who cleared the ice on the outdoor rink so you could play hockey, or one of your hockey coaches.
You may remember his love of a good competitive golf partner, the man you worked with on the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, working with Dana in insurance, managing the Sears store in Houlton or during the early hours of the night for the Bangor Daily News.
And lastly, remember his open welcome always for you at 6 Hartford Street and at the camp at Schoodic Lake. He was ready with an engaging smile, a good joke and forever teasing.
