Robert's Story

HOULTON - Robert E. Trickey, Jr. 86, left us on January 9, 2015 after a long illness. He was born November 9, 1928, the son of Robert and Lucille Maddocks Trickey.

Bob would like you to know that he dearly loved his wife Kaye; his children, Joel, Jace, Kim and Jeffery; his sister, Marlene Picarella; his grandchildren Joshua, Sarah, Wade, Jessica, Ian, Theron, Jacob, Lauren and Luke; Great granddaughters, Sophia, Scarlet, Gabriella, and Olivia; His in-law children; Terry, Bink, Heidi, Tim, Linda, Amanda, Anecia, and Derek; nephews and niece, Joseph, Charles, Robert and Lucille.

He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict as a member of the Military Police in Germany. You perhaps will remember Bob as your Little League or Pony Team coach, as a dad who cleared the ice on the outdoor rink so you could play hockey, or one of your hockey coaches.

You may remember his love of a good competitive golf partner, the man you worked with on the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, working with Dana in insurance, managing the Sears store in Houlton or during the early hours of the night for the Bangor Daily News.

And lastly, remember his open welcome always for you at 6 Hartford Street and at the camp at Schoodic Lake. He was ready with an engaging smile, a good joke and forever teasing.

Friends are invited to an open house Sunday, January 11th, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 6 Hartford Street. Calling hours, Monday, January 12th, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Houlton United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Milo, Maine.
