Robert's Story

BAR HARBOR - Robert E. Dolliver, 85, died Jan. 3, 2015 in a MDI healthcare facility. He was born Dec. 29, 1929 in Bar Harbor, the son of George W. and Rita (Johnston) Dolliver.

Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a life-long resident of Bar Harbor and well known for his Handy-Man business.

Bob is survived by two sons: Jeffrey R. Dolliver, of Bar Harbor and Steven W. Dolliver and wife, Barbara, of Grand Island, FL.; a grandson Justin Leonard. He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores (Sylvia) Dolliver, a brother Buddy Dolliver, and two sisters: Shirley Carter and Margaret White.

At Bob's request, no funeral or graveside services will be held. He will be interred with his wife at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
