Robert's Story

Madawaska and Ocala, Fla. - Robert Armand Couture, 69, died on Friday, Sept 30, 2016, surrounded by his family at his residence after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Madawaska on October 12, 1946, the son of Wilfred and Teresa (Clavet) Couture.
He was raised in Madawaska and upon his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Bob returned to raise his family with his childhood sweetheart, Rachel (Cyr) Couture. He worked for Metso throughout New England, Georgia and abroad until his retirement.
Bob will forever be remembered as a strong man of faith who never refused an opportunity to spread God's word through his weekly men's group bible studies and small group events.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rachel (Cyr) Couture; son, Andrew Couture (Kasia); daughters, Shelly Beaulieu (Mark) and Kelly Plourde (Robert); his sisters, Patricia Salmon (Jack) and Caroline Wrisley (Burt); and brother, Wilfred Couture (Helen). Bob is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Nathan, Cameron, Alexis, Damian, Clayton, Cheyanne and Katelynn. Bob was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Ann O'Hair.
A "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016, at the Grand Hall in the Summer Glen community, 1468 SW 154th Street Rd., Ocala, FL 34473.
