MILLINOCKET - Robert L. Boutaugh passed away August 18, 2015, at Millinocket Regional Hospital. Bob was born November 1, 1927, to Fred and Elizabeth Boutaugh. He was a devoted husband, loving dad, gramp, great-grampy and "Uncle Bobby" to numerous kids, related or not.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 68 years, Kathleen Sarver Boutaugh; two daughters, Frances York and husband, Tony, and Becky Cox and husband, Bruce; five grandchildren, Robbie York and wife, Kathleen, Lanie Daigle and husband, Jeff, Lynda Pasieka, April Cox and Heather Rockwell and husband, Randy; nine great-grandchildren, Amber York, Samantha Ferell, Josh Ferell, Grace Daigle, Andrew Daigle, Alicia Pasieka, Nathaniel Merritt, Michael Rockwell and Katherine Rockwell. He is also survived by two sisters, Glennis Winters and Mary Joy and husband, Henry. He was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Boutaugh and Edmond "Boss" Boutaugh; and two sisters, Betty Ann McInnis and Joanne Walsh.
Bob served in the Navy for four years and he was a piper at Great Northern Paper Company until his retirement. Bob, though having only daughters, was a great influence in the lives of many young boys, including being involved with Boy Scouts, and that only increased when the first boy of the family, his grandson, Robbie, was born. He enjoyed fishing, trapping and gardening.
