- Rickey B. Carter 59, passed away peacefully on Monday October 1 7, 2016 surrounded by family and friends, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor, Maine. He was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on October 25, 1956. He is survived by his husband Timothy McDougall, Sr of Milo, Maine, his sister Robin Walden of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his five children, daughter Brenda Volz of Milo, Maine, son Timothy McDougall Jr. of Milo, Maine, son Neil McDougall of Ocala, Florida, son Matthew McDougall of Leeds, Maine and son Ellis McDougall of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his mother Beulah Raye Bias Carter and his father Jimmie Fred Carter both of Cushing, Oklahoma.
He worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor, Maine as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Rickey worked in the healthcare field for 31 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a MedTech. He loved his work and made a difference in so many lives. Rickey made his home for the last 34 years with his husband Timothy McDougall Sr of Milo, Maine. Rickey loved the ocean and a really nice drive in the country. His hobby was making unique and beautiful jewelry with real stones and silver. Rickey also collected teddy bears.
Although originally from Oklahoma, Rickey lived in Maine a few times and felt most at home here. He had returned to Maine to get ready for retirement.
Rickey will be missed by all who knew him.
