DIXMONT - Richard H. Martin, 96, of Dixmont passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Brewer Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Winslow on July 28, 1918, the son of the late Bertelle and Marion (Richards) Martin.
Richard was a veteran of WWII in the Army Air Corps, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was employed by Western Electric of Watertown, Mass. for 44 years. There he met his wife, Catherine. He was a long-time resident of Lexington, Mass.
Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Catherine Watson; his sisters,
Charlotte Corson, Eunice Palmer, and Theresa Simpson; and one brother, Bertelle Martin.
He is survived by his son, Richard J. Martin of Dixmont; his daughters, Anne and her husband, Robert Fenochetti of Dunstable, Mass., and Marie-Terese and her husband, Peter Viles of Fairfield; his grandson, Bruce Viles of Florida; one great grandson, Shaden Viles; his sister,
Greta Waugh of Albion; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
