Richard's Story

Aurora - Richard W. Hinds, 86, died October 19, 2016. He was born June 30, 1930, in Morristown, NJ, the son of Louis S. and Maria (Matthews) Hinds.
Richard served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning, Richard married Ruth Mary Kessler. Richard worked as a backhoe operator for the Maine Department of Transportation for 15 years. During his off time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR and football.
Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth; daughter Cheryl Tonero and husband Louis of Amherst; five grandchildren, Tracy, David, Kelly, Gina, and Megan; and four great-grandchildren including a special great-granddaughter Sheyenne who called Richard "popcorn pops." Richard was predeceased by son Wayne Feldhouse, brother Louis, and sister Doris.
A private graveside service will be held at the Aurora Osborn Cemetery.
