- Rhonda (Lund) Hardy joined her son in heaven on Sun., June 4, 2017.
Born on Sept. 3, 1951 in Calais, Rhonda grew up in Pembroke, ME, and Fort Worth, TX. She was independent and self-sufficient from a very young age.
Rhonda enjoyed the simple things in life: the beauty of flowers, the quiet of the woods, the serenity of her home. Most of all she cherished the love of her family. She enjoyed gardening and was always puttering in her gardens. She had a special talent with flowers and was famous for her seasonal wreaths, which she generously shared with family and friends. Rhonda worked for St. Joseph's Healthcare for over 25 years, retiring as courier in 2013. She loved her work and valued and respected her coworkers, including all the Felician Sisters.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Andy Hardy of Clifton and the entire Hardy clan; mother of her grandchildren Anna Rocci; beloved grandchildren Sarah Lund of Augusta and Bethany Lund of Waterville; all her adopted grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, one brother, and by the light of her life, her only son, Alan Lund.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Rhonda's life on Friday, June 9 starting at 4 p.m. at 71 Canterbury Road in Brewer.
