Reginald's Story

JACKMAN - Reginald A. Griffin Jr. passed away on November 24, 2014. He was born in 1942 to Reginald A. "Al" Sr. and Jacquline (Reed) Griffin.

He grew up in Levant where he still has an extended family. After his marriage to Linda (Bowden) Griffin in 1962, he lived in both Orrington and Glenburn, but found his true home when he went to Jackman in 1968 with one small pulp truck. The people of Jackman loved him too, giving him awards and dedicating the town book to him one year. Many young people in the woods business found in him a mentor and father figure. He also had a close circle of friends known collectively as the "Good Old Boys" with whom he shared a passion for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and car racing, as he did with his son and grandson.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Jackman, his daughter, Lynn Johnston and her husband Rick of Charleston, his son, Russell Griffin and his fiancé, Kerry Dow, of Jackman. his brothers Timothy of Bangor, Raymond and his wife Lenore of Jackman, his sister, Marilynn Wood and husband Merle of Hooksett, N.H. and Levant, as well as dearly loved grandchildren, Reggie Johnston and Ashley Johnston and her partner Kyle Ness.
