Madawaska - Reginald Boucher, 88, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2016 at a Bangor health care facility, after succumbing to injuries from a tragic accident. He was born in Madawaska on January 27, 1928, son of the late Oneil and Eva (Clavette) Boucher. Reggie was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion of Madawaska. He worked at Fraser Paper for over forty years until his retirement in 1993.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Lucille (Marquis) Boucher of Madawaska; three daughters, Sharon Boucher of Bangor, Joyce Theriault and her husband David of Georgia, Nancy Arsenault of Winterport; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gatlin of Hampden, Melissa Cyr and her husband Ben of Lebanon, Christina Albert of California; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Rose of Madawaska, Andrea Lothian and her husband Bill of Perth, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Doris Ouellette; two brothers, Clarence Boucher, and Oneil Boucher, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Reginald Ouellette and Dennis Rose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Thomas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am before the service. Spring interment will be held in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Reginald's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
