Raymonde's Story

MADAWASKA - Raymonde Hachey, 88, passed away on May 17, 2016 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on April 16, 1928, daughter of the late Eddie and Marie (Hudon) Pelletier.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the church choir for many years. She lived a full life of family and faith. She enjoyed socializing with her close friends "Valley Girls" at her camp on Long Lake.

She is survived by seven children, Louise J. Levesque of Edmundston, Dave Hachey and his wife Pam of Florida, Madeline Levesque and her husband Yvon of Madawaska, Paul Hachey and his wife Dawn of Portland, Christine Morneault and her husband Andre of Edmundston, James Hachey and his wife Rosemary of Chicago, Edward Hachey and his wife Penny of Windham; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Micheline Gauvin, Rita McKenzie, Rose Cypher; two brothers, Pat Pelletier, Gaby Pelletier; many nieces and nephews. Raymonde was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Hachey; her grandchild, Allain Levesque; son-in-law, Jean-Guy Levesque; sister, Gaetane Fyfe; her brother, and Yvon Pelletier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9am until 9:45am on Saturday before the service. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery at a later date.
