Randall Francis Treadwell

Randall's Story

Text size

Mars Hill and Clifton - Our beautiful son Randy took his first breath on August 4, 1960. He immediately became the brand new light of our lives. After snowblowing his yard for the first snowstorm of the season in Mars Hill, Randy had a massive heart attack. The light of our lives died on December 2, 2016, surrounded by all of his family. He was the son of Thelma Hawkins Treadwell and the late Francis Richard Treadwell.
Randy loved life and everything in it. He was honest, hard-working, and took everyone at face value with no preconceptions. Randy had a sort of innocence and invincibility about him. An example being the time he jumped off his parents' 1 1/2 story garage with a huge umbrella. This was done with lots of encouragement from his brothers of course. We all know how well that works; but being Randy, when he came to the inevitable hard landing, not only was he unhurt but laughing his ass off. For all the things he got into, he was never seriously hurt.
He attended Brewer High School, and then joined the Maine National Guard. He was discharged with the rank of Corporal/E4. He worked for most of his life at several different branches of F.W. Webb.
Randy loved dirt bikes, four-wheeling, camping, hunting with dad, ice-fishing, snowmobiling, Chick Hill, and going to camp.
Although our hearts are broken, we know you are in a better place.
Sleep tight and sweet dreams, Randy.
