- Ramona L. Smith, 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 23, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Lincoln, ME.
She was predeceased by her parents, Aubrey A. and Marion M. (Dicker) Crooker and is survived by one sister, Joan Runnells of Milford, ME; and two brothers, John Crooker and Joey Crooker, both of Prentiss.
She was a wonderful wife to Thomas L. Smith, Sr. for 46 years, and an amazing mother to four children, James and Paula Cole of Prentiss, Bethany and Guy Rogan, Jr. of Sherman, Thomas Smith, Jr. and special friend, Kimberly Rose of Calais and Jason and Susan Smith of Shillington, PA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ramona loved playing and singing for the Lord. She, along with her husband, pastored Bethel Chapel in Talmadge for 25 years.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Edward Costain officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bethel Chapel or to her family.
