Ralph's Story

WINDHAM, NH & ETNA - Ralph E. Philbrook, 74, died December 24, 2014 in Nashua, NH. He was born March 28, 1940 in Etna, a son of Kenneth and Annie (Elston) Philbrook. Ralph attended Newport schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in construction. He will be remembered as a very family oriented man.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Carol (Crocker) and daughter Sue Ellen Jones, both of Windham, NH; 6 siblings, Lucille Damon of Gardiner, Kenneth and wife Norma Philbrook of Palmyra, Marlene Foster of Fairfield, Robert and wife Marie Philbrook of Clinton, Don and wife Lucy Philbrook of Jay, and Forest and wife Nancy Philbrook of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Jamie, Jakob, and Morgan; and 2 great grandchildren, Samuel and Nina; an aunt and uncle, Bob and Doris Elston of Etna; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend which was like a brother, Carl DeCotis and wife Helen of Salem, MA. He was predeceased by a son Terry who died in 1964.

A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, May 22nd, at Highland Cemetery, Carmel. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
