Ralph's Story

PARKMAN - Ralph D. Mayhew, 82, died September 14, 2014 at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, following a long illness. He was born in Dover-Foxcroft, March 14, 1932, the son of Danville and Ida May (Leo) Mayhew.

He was a lifelong self-employed contractor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his annual oyster stew at camp with his family and friends.

He is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Weston and Pranee Mayhew of Cambridge, and John and Ruby Mayhew of Sangerville; a daughter, Linda Mcqueston of RI; 2 brothers and their wives, Joseph and Viola Mayhew of Corinna, and William and Ida Mayhew of Plymouth; grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Mayhew, and Sonya (Mayhew) Connor, all of Sangerville, Lynn Ham, Wallace Mcqueston and Luella Mcqueston, all of OK. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn (Martin) Mayhew; and brothers, John and Herbert.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Guilford. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
