Ralph's Story

HARTLAND AND WELLINGTON - Ralph Ernest Linkletter, 84, died March 9, 2015, at a Hartland nursing facility. He was born September 18, 1930, a son of Calvin and A. Edna (Marble) Linkletter.

He retired from Irving Tannery in Hartland and had also been employed at Bath Iron Works and at the family farm.

He is survived by 3 children, Guy Linkletter of Florida, Edna and husband David Avery and Rebecca Corson, all of Athens; 6 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ralph was predeceased by a daughter Tammy Linkletter, and his longtime companion, Louise Corson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 23rd, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. David Ray, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Mount Rest Cemetery, Athens, in the spring.
