VAN BUREN - Priscilla J. Martin, 63, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on June 1, 2015 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine with her family by her side. Priscilla was born on September 4, 1951 in Biddeford, daughter of Robert and Norma Lavigne.
Priscilla grew up in Biddeford and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1969. She attended Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute and received her associates degree in accounting. She worked as an educational technician for Van Buren and Caswell schools for several years and retired in 2012.
She married Clayton Martin in 1990 in Caswell. She was a member of the Columbiettes, and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Van Buren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as bowling, vacationing and going on cruises.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Clayton, of Van Buren, her two daughters, Terra Coffin and fiancé Jason Crocker of South Paris, her daughter Robyn Mercier of South Berwick, a step son, Shawn Martin and his wife Yolana of Brewer, and a step-daughter, Tiffany Dubay of Madawaska. She is also survived by her siblings, Randall and wife Fran Lavigne of North Port, Florida, Linda and husband, Joe Tipping of Wells, Brenda and husband, Henry Downs of Portland, Ronald and wife, Tammy Lavigne of Biddeford, and her eight grandchildren: Caleb and Carter Fillebrown, Tyler Hudson, Tyler, Kayla, and Remington Martin, Kimberly Mailman and Britney Sirois and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Norma Lavigne of Biddeford Maine.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Bruno's Church at 174 Main Street in Van Buren, Maine on June 12, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life mass. She will be buried in Biddeford, Maine.
