BANGOR - Phyllis C. (Ashworth) Tremble, 95, died April 19, 2015, at a local nursing facility. She was born October 29, 1919, in Bangor, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Crowley) Ashworth.
Phyllis graduated from John Bapst High School in 1937, and received her AS degree from the Gilman Commercial School. She was a member of the Alpha Beta Phi Sorority. Phyllis married the love of her life, George F. Tremble, in 1947. She began working at the Merrill Trust Company, retiring in 1980, after many years of service. Phyllis volunteered countless hours of her time at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George F. Tremble, and her brother, Leonard V. Ashworth. Phyllis is survived by her son, James Tremble of Windham, and her daughter, Maureen and her husband, Louis Knapp of Bradley; grandsons, Jeremy Knapp and his partner, Breanna of East Corinth, and Matthew F. Tremble of Auburn, IN; great-grandchildren, Kailee, Lauryn, and Isaac Peabody, and Waylon and Josh Knapp.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Eastside Rehab for the wonderful, loving care they gave her.
