Bangor and Land O' Lakes
- Phyllis N. MacMannis died January 30, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living, Danvers, MA. She was born May 30, 1930, in New York, New York, to Jessie and Alexander McKim. She attended Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, New York. Following graduation she married the late Kenneth L. MacMannis and moved to Tatnuck, MA. They later moved to Holden, MA, then Newton, MA and in1964 moved to Bangor, Maine. In Bangor she was a member of Quipis, PEO, and All Souls Congregational Church. She was a volunteer for many years at the Bangor YWCA. Phyllis retired to Florida for the winter months and returned to Green Lake to enjoy the summer with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Kenneth L. MacMannis Jr. and his wife Barbara and children Kirk, Joseph and Seth; Dr. Robert A. MacMannis and his wife, Julie, and children Bob, Katie and Tom; Bonnie P. (MacMannis) Ward and her husband John, and children, Chad, Alexander, and Phyllis; Russell F. MacMannis and his wife, Kathy, and children, R. Fraser, Laurie, and Tim; Scot B. MacMannis and his wife Kathleen, and children, Scot, Elizabeth and Emily; and 15 great grandchildren.
Phyllis enjoyed life and living, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Phyllis was a role model for her family and all she met. We will always carry her memory in our hearts. A private family memorial service will be held at Green Lake in July.
