Phillip's Story

BREWER - Phillip Clyde Booker, 71, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016, surrounded by family after a battle with COPD. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Pastor Clyde and Verda Booker.

Phillip worked in many capacities over the years but was best known for his role as a home delivery milkman. He loved gardening, woodworking and making maple syrup, among other outdoor activities.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Elaine, of 52 years; his children, Tammy and husband, John Kalel, Tina and husband, John Carter, all of Orrington, and Tonya and husband, John Crocker of Dexter. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ivy Butera and husband, Micheal, John Kalel ll and wife, Kristy, John Carter and wife, Kaci, John Crocker and fiance, Kristen, Kayla Kalel, Phillip Crocker and Moriah Crocker, as well as six great-grandchildren; his sister, Lois Signor and husband, Gordon; his brother, Richard Booker and wife, Beverly; a special aunt, Claire Riple; and his life long friends, Larry and Sharon Lewis; as well as brother and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clyde and Verda Booker.

A celebration of life will be held at the Orrington Center Church on the Dow Road, May 25, at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Al Buzzell officiating. There will be a fellowship time following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers gifts may be given in Phillip's memory to your favorite charity.
