Philip's Story

Text size

BRADLEY - Philip A. Pelletier slipped away peacefully on the evening of April 29, 2015, with his family by his side. Phil was born July 23, 1931, to Frank and M. Emma Pelletier.

Earlier in his life Dad spent much of his time raising a young family with his first love and wife, Gerry. Spending time with dear friends who were doing the same. Following his children's activities and sporting events, as well as sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with his sons. Dad retired from James River after 42 years of service as a mill-right.

Later in life Dad was lucky enough to find a second great love with his wife, Barbara. They enjoyed summers at Beech Hill Pond, hosting family and friends. Wintering in Florida with old friends and making new. Fishing and golfing with friends and family. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to dad's life, they visited with him right to the end.

Dad is survived by daughters, Becky, Carol and her other half Rick, and Beth; sons, Stephen and Thomas and his other half, Jaime; also loving stepchildren, Rebecca and husband, Steve, Vern, David and wife, Cathy, and Scott and wife, Carin; two brothers, Jerry and Pinky; sister, Theresa;

grandchildren, Allison and husband, Sanjay, Shawna and husband, Charlie, Sarah Emily and fiance, Bryan, and Brandy; stepgrandchildren, Emily and husband, Mike, Ashley and husband, Jessie, Brad and wife, Amanda, Melissa, DJ, and Fred and his other half, Heather; and great-grandchildren, JR and Lex, Klaire and Kail, Nolan and Freddy Jr. Dad was predeceased by his first wife, Gerry; son, Shawn Andrew; as well as his second wife, Barbra.

In keeping with Dad's wishes, a funeral mass will be said at St. Anne's Church in Bradley on Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m. with a gathering of friends and family in the parish hall following.

Phil will be missed by his close friends and relatives. We would like to thank the staff at Stillwater Health Care and Beacon Hospice for their excellent care of Dad.
