CAPE ELIZABETH - Philip Anthony Ortolani, 66, died on March 18, 2015. He was born on September 19, 1948, to Philip and Irene Ortolani. Phil went to Roslindale High School and then Suffolk University, where he graduated cum laude before going on to receive his M.B.A. at Babson College. Phil married Constance Rassias of Jamaica Plain, Mass., in 1972, and they had two children. The couple moved to Maine in the early eighties, and in 1988 Phil took a job with Mid Coast Health Services. As Vice President of Operations, he was integral to several projects at the hospital, including a merger of the Bath and Brunswick locations and construction of the new campus. Phil was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who attended school functions, coached little league, and liked to laugh and joke with his family. He was an amateur photographer, music and art lover, and avid runner, participating in many races, including the Boston Marathon with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Phil is survived by his wife Constance Ortolani of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; daughter Nikki Ortolani and her partner Todd Guadagno of New York City; son Alex Ortolani, daughter-in-law Kate, and grandson Enzo of New York City; sister Ann Trementozzi and brother-in-law Joe, of Palm Bay, Florida, and nephews and niece Bernard, Matthew, and Beth Ann.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, from 5-8 p.m. at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland. There will be a service on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's Parish, 8 Two Lights Road, Cape Elizabeth.
