Persis's Story

HUDSON - Persis "Patsy" Alexander, 78, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, with her family by her side, July 10, 2015. She was born in Glenburn, February 10, 1937, daughter of Richard L. and Elinor M. (Sawyer) Trundy.

Patsy was employed as a bookkeeper in the Bangor area for several years. She enjoyed square dancing, shopping and going out to eat with members of her large circle of friends. Most of all, Patsy loved cooking for her family gatherings, and she will be remembered for her wonderful clover yeast rolls, brownies and layer cakes.

Surviving are, her husband, Artie Alexander, children, Joe and his wife, Joellyn Alexander, and their children, Ben and Amie; Andy and his wife, Karen Alexander and their children, Katey and Sarah, all of Hudson; great grandchildren, Caleb and Tala; sisters, Ginny Hannington, Sammy Fifield, and Debbie Dorr and her husband, Larry, all of Glenburn; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Lee Alexander, Jr. and his wife, Mae; sisters-in-law, Joyce Karp, Mildred Kinens, Irene Hastey and Lois Ann Knowles and husband Melvin; special friends, Mac and Linda McIninch.

Patsy was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Sam Alexander and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Cappola, as well as several brothers-in-law.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Mohawk Cemetery, Hudson. Reception to follow at the Glenburn Covenant Church
