Paul's Story

Trenton - Paul Lawrence Reynolds, a resident of Hancock County, passed away on October 1, 2016, in Blue Hill.
Paul was born December 26, 1944, in Edmonton, Canada, to Lawrence Augustus and Lillias May (Look) Reynolds. From birth, Paul lived in Jackman, Maine, until his father's transfer to Jonesport in 1961, due to his work as a customs officer. They then lived in South Addison where he graduated high school in 1962. From 1962 - 1966 he served in the United States Navy, where he was stationed in Boston and Rhode Island. On July 31, 1966, Paul and Ola Chandler of Jonesport were married. Together, they raised three children: Christopher, Lisa and Stacy Reynolds. Paul and Ola later divorced, in September 1991. He was a Union Member and Mill Wright. Paul lived in Bucksport and worked at the Paper Mill for over 30 years, starting in 1967, and eventually purchased a house in Orland, Maine.
Paul is survived by his aunt, Pauline Kenney; son, Christopher Reynolds; daughters, Lisa and Stacey Reynolds; grandchildren, Michael Wight, Jesse Jenkins, Dana Mckechnie, Brady Reynolds, and Zoe Reynolds; nephews, Lawrence Reynolds, Richard Dubois, David Dubois, and Kevin Dubois; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orville Reynolds; and sister, Marilyn Reynolds.
A memorial service will begin at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Calvary Chapel Downeast, 513 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, Maine, where Paul served as a deacon, and a teacher in the school for more than ten years.
