Paul's Story

DEXTER - Paul Edward Rennebu, 89, died December 13, 2015 at a Dexter Healthcare facility following a long illness.

He was born August 19, 1926 in Brewer, a son of Clyde and Eleanor (Meader) Rennebu. Paul served in the U. S. Navy as a Fireman 1st Class during World War II. He worked for the Maine Central Railroad for 33 years and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Clara (Easley) Richards Rennebu of Dexter; children Milton and wife Linda Rennebu of Cherryfield, Timothy Rennebu of San Diego, CA, Patricia and husband Lee Bennett of Hampden, Christopher and wife Robin of Eddington; step-children, Gail and husband Dale Thompson of Dexter, Pat Richards of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Glenice and husband Wayne Cookson of Belfast, Keith and wife Teresa Richards of Fort Walton Beach, FL; siblings, Mary and husband Vaughn Hunter of Carlysle Springs, PA, Jacqueline and husband Ronald Trafton of Bangor, James and wife Vivian Rennebu of Winter Haven, FL, and Constance Middaugh of Tallahassee, FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a step grandson Darrin Jackson, brother John Rennebu, sisters Lorraine Kelly, Ruth Ford and Virginia Bouchard.

Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written condolences at
