Paul's Story

TROY - Paul "Papa Paul" Clyde Davis, 62, died unexpectedly March 27, 2016, at his camp in Danforth. He was born December 3, 1954, in Hartland, a son of Clyde and Marie (Walker) Davis.

He graduated from Mt. View High School. Paul was an avid outdoorsman and proud grandfather. He was a member of the Driftbusters and Frye Mountain Snowmobile Clubs, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was employed at Crescent Lumber, Orrington, until the time of his accident.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Davis of Troy; 2 sons, Derek and fiancee, Tisha, and their 2 daughters, Addyson and Amalya of Thorndike, and Brent and wife, Melissa, and their 2 sons, Brody and Cayden of Bowdoin; a daughter, Shannon and husband, Tyler Ring, and their daughter, Riley, of Pittsfield; a brother, Larry Davis of Troy; a sister, Linda Gould and companion, Richard Bartlett, of Exeter; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and wonderful supportive friends. He was predeceased by his father.

Visiting hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Al H.
