Patrick's Story

BURNHAM - On May 13, 1995, at 3:38 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon, a baby boy named Patrick Scot Graves was born at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He weighed 1 pound and 15 ounces and was not given a lot of hope of surviving. What everyone around him didn't realize was that Patrick had a will to live and would not give up without a fight.

Patrick fought and beat the odds many times along the way. He touched many lives with his beautiful smile and loving eyes. He was able to show unconditional love without ever saying a word. Patrick will forever be in the hearts and minds of so many. His love will forever keep us going until the day we meet again.

He is survived by his mother and father, Rhonda Graves and Adam Graves; his very loving sister and brother, Rylee and Kalen Graves; his maternal grandparents, Coradean and Rev. Ricky Parker, of Corinna; his great grandfather, Rev. Ronnie Parker of Corinna; his paternal grandparents, Respah and Allen Graves of Etna; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and loved ones.

He was predeceased by his great grandmother, Patricia Parker; great grandparents, Harry and Ruth Chamberlain; great great grandmother, Cora Hodsdon; and great grandparents, Delana and Herbert Graves and Frank and Barbara Mitchell.

The family would like to thank Eastern Maine Medical Center's pediatric doctors, nurses and staff for taking such good care of Patrick for the last 19 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made on behalf of Patrick Scot Graves to Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave, Pittsfield, ME 04967 to help with funeral expenses.
