OLD TOWN - Patrick J. Curran, 80, died unexpectedly May 11, 2015. He was born February 16, 1935, in Old Town, a son of Raymond and Rose (Haley) Curran.
He was a 1955 graduate of Old Town High School. He was employed at Sewall Company and then many years at Bangor Daily News. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. Pat enjoyed gardening, bird watching, boating, traveling, photography, and spending time with his family. He volunteered at the Holy Family Thrift Shop.
He is survived by brother, William H. Curran and his wife, Helen; sister, Sheila A. Curran; nieces and nephews, Daniel and Linda Curran, James and Lisa Curran and son, Christopher Curtis, Thomas and Lori Curran and their children, Olivia and Declan, Mary and Jeff Nichols and their children, Cassandra Nichols and her daughter, Lillith, William and Rachel Nichols and their daughter, Audrey, Linda and Alan Thurlow and their children, Alexandria and Elijah, Patricia and Dan Roy and their children, Drew, Samuel, and Christopher, Susan Curran, Helen and Arthur Meather and their children, Aaron, William, Reanne and Maxx, Irene and David Spence and their son, Noah. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Mary Catherine Curran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town. Immediately following the mass, all are invited to return to the Parish Center for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
