MILLINOCKET - Patricia L. Berube, 54, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born March 1, 1962, in Millinocket, the daughter of Kenneth and Alice (Littlefield) Willett.
Patty grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns, class of 1980. She attended Ottawa University in Kansas for one year before returning home to Millinocket. Patty worked at Millinocket Regional Hospital for many years in the Health Information Department. She loved her canine and feline friends, of which she had several. Patty also spent many happy hours with family and friends at camp on Ambajejus Lake, and will be remembered for always keeping an open door for family and friends, and for taking on the role as "second Mom" to all her boy's friends when they were growing up.
In addition to her father, Kenneth Willett, and mother, Alice McInnis and her husband, Richard, she is survived by three sons, Jason Berube and his girlfriend, Tara Vaznis, Aaron Berube and fiancee, Crystle Cote, and Isaac Berube; a brother, John Willett; a sister, Joy Willett; a nephew, Dylan McLaughlin; three nieces, Tessa, Tia and Jessica; a stepbrother, Rich McInnis; three stepsisters, Lorrie Leavitt, Becky McInnis and JoAnna Berry; in-laws, Albert and Wendy Berube, and Alice and David Hartley; and many wonderful friends and co-workers. Patty will also be missed by the father of her children, Keith Berube.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 12-2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Herschel Hafford officiating. Spring interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Patty may be sent to the animal protection center of your choice.
