Pastor Chuck's Story
LEVANT - Pastor Chuck Langbein died at a Bangor hospital on April 22, 2014. He was 55 years old. Chuck understood the value and importance of creating and nurturing Christian communities through everyday encounters. He used his God given gifts of connecting with people to that end. His ministry was intentionally and creatively unorthodox and highly effective.
Chuck loved to fish and tie flies and he also enjoyed bird dogs, camping and all things outdoors.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Valerie Langbein and beloved son, Gresley T. Langbein; one brother, Walter Scott Langbein and his wife Sarah of California, and one sister, Jerriann Morgan and her husband Randy of Pennsylvania; and special aunt and uncle, Ed and Mary Langbein of Illinois.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held 4 P.M., Monday, April 28, 2014 at Bangor First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex Street, Bangor.
