Pamela's Story

CARMEL - Pamela Cohen, 57, received her freedom from an illness of metastasizing cancer on June 12, 2014. She excused herself quietly from physical life in the home of her daughter and grandson in Biddeford, Maine.

Pamela worked within her, then husband's family business, Bangor Rye, from 1977 to 1993. She later created a profession of Real Estate Appraisals and functioned as a guide and instructor for students in the trade.

She is now sadly missed by her mother, Lillian Newcomb; her son, Daniel Cohen; her daughter, Heather Cohen; and grandchildren, Olivia, Malachi and Michael Cohen. Pam's encouraging nature and amazing sense of humor have left a void in the relationships of all her brothers and sister, Keven Newcomb of Corinth, Aaron Newcomb of Exeter, Patricia Dearborn of Corinth, Timothy Newcomb of Florida and many extended family members of aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. The loving and supportive efforts of Pam's nieces, Ginger and Keri; and her closest friends, Christine Snow and Gayle Clark, were both appreciated and will be forever remembered fondly by family. Pamela's last smile was to acknowledge Christy's presence at her bedside.

Services will be private.

"Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything (without weakening). Love never fails (never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end)." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP
