MADAWASKA - Omerine D. Boucher, 78, passed away on June 25, 2015 at her residence in Madawaska. She was born in St. David on June 5, 1937, daughter of the late Gilbert and Delima (Fongemie) Desjardins.
Omerine had a big heart, and always made herself available to give a helping hand. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards. In her younger years, Omerine was a communicant of St. David Church and attended regularly.
She is survived by one son, Peter Boucher and his wife Sandra of Grand Isle; three grandchildren, Chelsea Pelletier and her husband Jeff of Bangor, Corey Boucher of Madawaska, Candida Boucher of Grand Isle; one great grandchild, Kenndy Pelletier of Bangor; four sisters, Nancy Madore of Grand Isle, Pauline Madore and her husband Roger of Oakfield, Patricia Knight of Presque-Isle, Leola Guillemette of Madawaska; three brothers, Gilman Desjardins and his wife Pauline of Frenchville, Francis Desjardins and his wife Fern of St. Agatha, Phillip Desjardins and his wife Carol of St. David; many nieces and nephews. Omerine was predeceased by her husband, Albert Boucher; her daughter, Carol Boucher; her son, Steve Boucher; one sister, Cecile Desjardins; two brothers, Louis and Patrick Desjardins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences from 9am until 9:45am on Wednesday at the church before the service. Interment will be held immediately after the service in the Parish cemetery.
