BANGOR - Norman E. St. Louis, 90, passed away peacefully at a Bangor Hospital June 13, 2016. Norman was born May 16, 1926 in Old Town, the son of Clement and Irene (Messier) St. Louis.
Norman left school at an early age and enlisted in the service in April of 1951. He served 26 years in the Navy as an Air Traffic Control Operator.
Norman was an enjoyed many things in life, those included camping, traveling, and wintering in Florida for over 14 years with his late wife Muriel. Norman was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an amazing man who always knew how to make his grandkids laugh.
Norman was survived by a sister, Yvonne Spinks; daughters Cheryl Williams and husband Lee, Joan St. Louis, and Jeannie Pratt and husband Harry; grandchildren Kevin and Jeff Gulliver, Michael, Janet, and Brian St. Louis, Amber King, Crystal Swartz, Angela Shirley, Preston Pickle, and Amanda Campbell; a god son, Danny St. Peter; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to Norman's parents he was predeceased by his wife, Muriel (Knights) St. Louis; daughter, Deborah Pickle; a son, Terry "Gup" Gulliver; brothers Joseph St. Louis and Ronald St. Louis; sisters Cecile Pietrowski, and Priscilla St. Peter; and a granddaughter, Terri-Ann Applin.
Friends may call Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 6pm-8pm at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St. Old Town, ME 04468. A celebration of Norman's life will be conducted Friday June 17, at 11am with burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery to Follow. Immediately following services, friends and family of Norman are invited to Winterbury Heights 932 Ohio St. Bangor, ME for continued fellowship.
