Norma's Story

HUDSON - Norma L. Moulton, 95, died peacefully March 22, 2016, at Stillwater Health Care in Bangor, with her very special niece, Nancy L. (Crosby) Carpenter and  husband, David, by her side. She  was born Dec. 23, 1925, to Ralph L. and Ethelyn K. (Smith) Thurston Sr.

Norma is survived by two sisters, Maxine H. Crosby of Greenbush and Janice Ciccarello and husband, Sal, of Rochester, NH; two grandchildren, Marie (Woodward) Manwarren and husband, Wayne, of Truxton, NY, and Roland Woodward and wife, Penny, of Corinth; six great-grandchildren, Shawna Edwards, Amery Manwarren, Chandra Thompson, Derrek Manwarren Jr., Bryant and Barbie Bryant; eleven great-great-grandchildren, also other relatives to numerous to mention. She was predeceased by both parents; her husband of 59 years, Lionel J. Moulton; her daughter, Donna Perkins; four sisters, Melva Cote, Doris Commeau, Phyllis Zottie and Gloria Bubar,; also her only brother, Ralph L. 'Sonny' Thurton Jr., as well as many other relatives and friends.

Norma worked at Emple Knitting Mill until her retirement. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends when they stopped by to see her, especially the many friends and staff at Stillwater Health Care where they took such good care of her for the last two plus years of her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Stillwater Health Care and the staff at Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care and many acts of kindness they gave Norma.

Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Libby officiating.
