FORT KENT AND ST. FRANCIS - Norbert Dubey, 89, died May 13, 2014 at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. He was born April 8, 1925, in St. Francis, the son of the late Albenie Sr. and Medora (Thibodeau) Dubey.
Norbert was employed by the State of Maine as a Forest Ranger for 35 years, He was a member of the Fort Kent Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council #0352 and the Maine State Employees Association. Norbert's favorite pass time was fishing.
He is survived by his brother, Albenie Jr. and wife, Patricia Dubey of St. John; two sisters, Jeanne Johndro of Bristol, Conn., and Muriel Gardner of Watertown, Mass., and by many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Fern Dubey. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Crosswind's who cared for Norbert.
Friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with the Forest Ranger Honor Guard and Fourth Degree Honors, 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis, Graveside services will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery.
