- Nola Joyce Doody, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 7, 2017, in Bangor.
Nola was born in Caswell, Maine on May 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Addie (Montgomery) Adams. Her past employment was at the University of Maine in Orono in the catering division.
Nola enjoyed coloring, playing cards, collecting thimbles, crocheting, sewing, and cooking for her many friends. She was a loving woman and did volunteer Hospice care. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Bangor for many years. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Benjamin and wife, Linda, of China, Maine, Beecher and wife, Carol, of Leland, NC, Sally Duplisea and husband, Robert, of Pittsfield, Michael and wife, Linda, of Melbourne, FL, Patrick and wife, Donna, of Brewer, Timothy and wife, Kathy, of Bangor, Joyce Fowler and husband, David, of Greensboro, NC; 24 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Katrina Abbott; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bryce; children, Priscilla Bickford, Janie Hooper and Peter Doody; and a sister, Glenna Bragg.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, in Pittsfield, with the Reverend Phil Mumford officiating.
