LISBON AND CROUSEVILLE - Neil S. Crouse passed away after a brief illness on June 28, 2014, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born in Presque Isle, Jan. 26, 1945, the son of Ralph and Necia (Carvell) Crouse.
Neil grew up in Crouseville and graduated from Washburn High School in 1963 and attended Bentley College. He received a medical discharge from the US Army after being drafted in 1966. He was employed as a computer system operator at various firms in Massachusetts until he moved back to Maine and worked as a convenience store clerk in the Brunswick area until his retirement.
He was a sports enthusiast with an affinity for the Red Sox. He also loved dogs, especially a Golden Retriever named "Halo".
Neil is survived by three brothers, Beverly 'Carl' and his wife, Dot, of Las Vegas, Roger and his wife, Sandra, of Crouseville, and Steven and his wife, Shelby, of Brunswick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Neil was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Wayne, and a nephew.
As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A private burial will be at Crouseville Hilltop Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, ME.
