Myron's Story

LINCOLN AND BANGOR - Myron George Worster, Sr., 92, died January 23, 2016, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 19, 1923, in Prentiss, the son of Clarence and Florence (Lyons) Worster.

Myron was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, where he was wounded. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, was an active member of the veteran's support group and the Lincoln Veteran's Honor Guard. He enjoyed playing the slot machines, going out to eat and going for rides.

He is survived by four children, Myron Worster, Jr., of Mexico, Keith Worster and his fiancée, Judy Fleming, of Burlington, Peter Worster and his fiancée, Patty Bruce, of Hampden, and Nancy McCormick and her husband, Spud, of Chester; son-in-law, Jack Emery; grandchildren, Sue Hawkins, Sharon Anderson, both of Royse City, Texas, Steve Hawkins and his wife, Angie, of Patten, Miranda Worster of South Carolina, Scott Worster of Enfield, Todd Worster and his wife, Lexi, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, P.K. Worster and his wife, Ali, of Durham and Melissa Worster and her fiancée, Jason, of Ellsworth; special granddaughter, Darcie McCormick, of Bradley; special niece, Donna Shepard, of Westbrook; 16 great-grandchildren. Myron had several special friends, including Darrell Savage, Frank Scott, Andy Clark and Norman Rossignol.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte (Stanley) Worster; and a daughter, Linda Emery; and siblings, Roger Worster, Paul Worster and Estelle Mahar.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Lincoln Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at clayfuneralhome.com.
