Jonesport - Myrna Sue (Bagley) Lamson, 75, died Oct. 24, 2016 at Eastern Maine Medical Center, with family by her side. She was born March 27, 1941, at her maternal grandparent's home, to Roland V. Bagley and June E. (Geel) Bagley Baird. She graduated from Milbridge High School. She then married Leearnal Cecil Lamson on July 18, 1959, and they had three children, Deborah, David and Dana.
Myrna worked in many fields during her life, which included factories such as MS Brooks in Chester, Conn., then as the post mistress for the West Jonesport Post Office. She then became the owner/operator of a small take out the "Stowaway" which she turned into a successful year round restaurant in Jonesport, later became owner/operator of a shellfish business, "Sukie's Shellfish," in Steuben. After retiring, she spent many winters in Nokomis, Florida. Her hobbies showed off her creative artistic abilities, which could be seen in her paintings, poems, handmade salt dough ornaments, festive Forth of July parade floats (which she won many awards for), silk flower arrangements, and evergreen wreaths to name a few of her talents. She had a love for Christmas, her flower gardens, playing cards, western movies, her daily soap opera, Patriot's football games, sudoku, and jig saw puzzles. She was always on the go, helping family and friends, working in her gardens, crafting, and visiting loved ones. She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and the great love she had for her family.
