- Murray A. Watson, Sr., 76, died February 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born February 26, 1940, in Stetson, a son of Raymond and Delina (Bossie) Watson Sr.
Murray was a self-employed dairy farmer and was a member of the National Farmer's Organization. He enjoyed working construction at the missile base in Bangor and also enjoyed working on area potato farms. He will be remembered for his pranks and sense of humor. He was a loving father and grandfather, and enjoyed family get togethers.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eunice (Pipes) Watson of Corinna; 3 sons, James, Mark and wife, Patty Watson, and Murray "Skip" Watson Jr. and wife, Linda; 2 daughters, Elaine Watson and husband, Todd Shorey, and Lisa and husband, Adam Robinson; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Dylan, Emily, Kyle, Katie, Gracie, Isiah and Dominique; sisters, Louise, Patricia, Harriet, Betsy and Lydia; and brothers, Thomas, John, Dale, George, Raymond, Herman, Terry and Charles. Murray was predeceased by his siblings, Barbara, Frank, George F., James, Lillian, Thomas and William.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
