FORT KENT AND ST. FRANCIS - Monica Berube, 85, died peacefully April 4, 2016, at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. She was born in St. Francis April 19, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Mathilda Taggett.
Monica loved cooking and was well known for her donuts. She enjoyed donating much of her time to the Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Paul and his wife, Patti Berube of Fort Kent, Kent Berube of Barrington, NH; three grandchildren, P.J, Christina and Tricia; four sisters, Albertine Martin, Jean Jandreau, Annabelle Bourgoin and Lynn West; three brothers, Clyde, Dale and Sheldon Taggett; two favorite sisters-in-law, Patsy Taggett and Robertine LeBrun; also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Berube; her siblings, Guinde Michaud, Ronald Taggett, "Bea" Ouellette and Martin Taggett.
Friends may call Thursday, April 7th from 8:30 to 10:00 am at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, April 7, at the St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Spring burial will be held in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
