Bangor and Brewer - It is with heavy hearts, that we share of the passing of Michael O. Voisine, on Sunday, December 4, 2016, after an almost 6 year battle against Metastatic Kidney Cancer. Michael rose to the challenge consistently with immense courage and quiet dignity.
Michael was born Nov. 9, 1956, to Noella (Levesque) Voisine and Arthur J. Voisine.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Ellen (Parsons) Voisine; his beloved son and daughter-in-law, William M. and Anju (Debnath) Voisine, whom he was so very proud of; and his much cherished granddaughter, Alice Voisine of Ashburn, Va.
He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rosanne Voisine of Otter Creek; his sister, Micheline Abbott, of Brewer; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman and Angela Dirksen of Augusta; and a sister-in-law, Cissie Lear of Damiscotta; also some much loved nieces and nephews.
Michael was a proud Lineman for almost 30 years, at Bangor Hydro Electric Co. (Emera Maine.)
He had many hobbies over the years. He was a Private Pilot, Harley Rider, and enjoyed camping. His greatest pleasure was sailing his boat Camelot, around Penobscot Bay. All of these he enjoyed with Mary Ellen. They had many exciting adventures
The family would like to thank our wonderful neighbors, Gary and Eddie Beaulieu and Bill and Sue Vernon. Pat and Norm Heitmann, who showed us this isn't the end. Also, special thanks to Mike's "Hydro Family," for all their support over the years, especially, Claude Brown, Mark Deschesne, and Kevin O' Connell. All the Medical Professionals from Bangor to Boston who assisted us along the way, we thank-you. Special thanks also, to Eastern Maine Hospice for his wonderful care. And of course, all our family, friends, and co-workers who have always been there with their love, prayers, and support. We are so grateful to all of you.
