Michael Anthony Cirone passed in the early hours of Sept. 29, 2016, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 6, 1955, in South Addison, Maine to parents Carl E. Sr and Pauline (Lord) Cirone.
Mike was a special individual and well-loved by all who knew him. He loved music, playing his guitar, and get-togethers with family and friends. He especially enjoyed times spent at Schoodic Lake hunting and paddle-boating. One of his greatest thrills was his yearly trip to Camp Capella in Dedham.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Carl E. "Butch" Cirone Jr.
He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his brother Stephen "Tex" Cirone and wife Barbie, sisters Laura and husband Dana Mitchell, Linda and companion Jeff Guptill, Brenda "Lynne" and husband Jim Alciere; his nieces and nephews: Candace Strout, Keith "Trey" Crowley III, Rhiannon "Annie" and husband Jason Willey, Samantha Mitchell, Leila and husband Alex Parks, Brianna Cirone and Stephen Cirone; grand nieces and nephews: Matthew and Alissa Willey, Graydon Holcomb, and Nathan Parker; and a large extended family that includes his friends and caregivers at the Addison Point Agency and Camp Capella.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor for their kindness and care during his final days.
A graveside service will be held at Eastern Harbor Cemetery in South Addison on Saturday, October 29th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in Mike's memory to Camp Capella, P. O. Box 552, Holden, Maine 04429.
