Meldon's Story

Madison - Meldon Wayne Libby, 71, died January 5, 2017, at a Skowhegan hospital. He was born April 26, 1945, in Unity, a son of Albert and Margaret (Fay) Libby.
He was a longtime mechanic at Hight Ford in Skowhegan and will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Meldon is survived by his daughter, Tammi, husband, George Edwards, and their son, Baron, all of Lincoln; his fiancee, Juanita Graves of St. Albans; his siblings, Kathleen Brown of Canaan, Galen and wife, Marie Libby, of Madison, Elton and wife, Judy Libby, of Skowhegan, Phyllis Balog of Waterville and Wilda and husband, Jim Dow, of Turner. He was predeceased by siblings, Albert Libby Jr., Marjorie Lawton and Royce Libby and wife, Winnie.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14, at the Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Rest Cemetery, Athens. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be sent to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O.
