- Maylon Dennison, 83, of Cutler, ME died Thursday, October 20th, 2016, at the Maine Veteran's Home in Bangor, after losing his battle with cancer. He was born February 5th, 1933, in Cutler, ME.
He was predeceased by his mother, Hilda Dennison; and sisters, Phyllis Leighton and Mildred Davidson. He leaves behind his brother, Charles, also from Cutler.
Maylon was a generous and caring man. He enjoyed visits with family, and on an almost daily basis would eat at the local diners with his brother. He was very appreciative of the help he received in getting to and from appointments from both his good friend, Maynard Huntley, and his nephew, Charles Dennison.
Maylon was a passionate Red Sox fan. You could often find him in front of the television watching the games and rooting on his team.
Maylon had no children of his own but had a positive impact on many of the children in the local communities by teaching at Lubec and Cutler grammar schools. He was committed to education and ensured those around him knew how important that was.
Graveside services will be held at the New Cutler Cemetery on Friday October 28th at 1pm. Arrangements entrusted to Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias.
