Mary's Story

Text size

Bangor - It is with great sorrow to announce and yet a profound compulsion to pay tribute to the passing of Mary Theresa Peasley on Feb. 18, 2017.
Daughter to James and Mary Ellen Vanidestine, she was the youngest of eight siblings to pass. Mary is survived by eight children she reared: Michael Edward and wife, Ruth Ann, Mary Ellen, Mark Anthony and wife, Deborah, June Carolyn and husband, Kendall, Theresa Ann, Kermit Allan and Therese Davis, Joseph Warren and wife, Melissa, and Melissa Pontello and life partner, Robin. She leaves a legacy of 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandchild, Lisa Ann.
Mary Theresa was a life-long devout Catholic, as she served as Eucharistic Minister, choir member, volunteer for St. John's Soup Kitchen, giving of herself the upkeep of the parish altar and pew area, in addition to the feeling of love for all having the pleasure of being touched by her beautiful nature. Empty is the world of her presence but strong is the spirit she leaves behind in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the staff of VNA/Hospice of Eastern Maine, with a special thanks to Jenn the home health aide, and Loving Touch. Services will be announced at a later date.
